Born in Santa Teresa, Colleen Wallace often paints in the company of Ada Bird Petyarre who is a very well-known Utopia artist. Colleen's husband (now deceased), sometimes collaborated on her paintings. Her depictions include awelye (women's ceremonies) and the Yam Dreaming which she inherited from her grandfather, Kenny Tilmouth Panangka. Colleen is also the sister to Cindy Wallace Nungurrayi.
